A Familiar Frustrated Feeling? Not so Purrfit…

Sometimes, no matter who hard we try, how many hours practice, nor how many skills, garments, websites and photoshoots we invest in, nor even how much free time and projects we give, nor all those sleepless nights spent online networking – often our goals seem beyond our reach and our rewards remain elusive. If this feels familiar ask yourself – Why? Is it you?

Well, who else could it be? It’s your input/output cycle isn’t it? But don’t be alarmed, recognising this is the same as recognising that you are actually in control of your own success. You are in the ‘driving seat’ of this journey and being stuck in traffic or finding a dead end are common events of any successful adventure – especially where it’s a road less travelled. Feeling stuck, going round in circles or moving too slowly is often simply a case of You versus Your Circumstance – and circumstance is of course completely circumstantial and therefore can be changed.

Circumstance and Opportunity

Perhaps the circumstances of your journey have left you without a clear sense of direction, perhaps a lack of fuel, or maybe an out of date map. Perhaps you’ve lost sight of the landmarks. If so then stop for a moment and pause for thought; reflect on where you have been, what you are carrying and focus on where you want to go - and why.

Change your circumstances by taking (and making) opportunities. Opportunity is not a mysterious matter of serendipity nor is it a privilege reserved for the wealthy or those already successful. An ‘opportunity’ is created – and new opportunities could be created for you, by you. Don’t wait for some to pass by with the hope of riding along (and the assumption that they are going where you want to be). Design and create your own. The trick is to know how. The more success a person has, they more they seem to attract. Have you ever wondered why? Well, success attracts success. Having a track record of success will increase choices because that track record attracts others who will have the confidence to invest in you. But the first confident investor must be you.
